Mark Booher Ph.D.
President
Dr. Booher has been on the Board for many years and has served in the positions of President, Vice-President, and Treasurer. Dr. Booher is a psychologist with more than 40 years experience working with public sector clients and has been a member of the Massachusetts Juvenile Justice Advisory Committee. Dr. Booher and his wife have lived in Westborough for thirty years.
Cam Sowa
Vice President
Cam has served on the Board since 1987 and has held the positions of Treasurer and President and currently serves as Vice President. A resident of Westborough, Cam has two grown daughters and two very delightful grandchildren. Cam was in the banking arena for 25 years followed by positions supporting executives in large corporations for the remainder of her career. She also serves on the board of Apple Tree Arts in Grafton where she is active on the capital campaign committee and involved in the music programs as well. Cam is a member of St. Stephen’s Church in Westborough.

The Pastoral Counseling Centers of Massachusetts provide counseling to all persons seeking wholeness and renewal, honoring their race, ethnicity, religion, cultural background, gender identity and sexual orientation.
Vision Statement:
We strive to understand what each client is seeking and the most effective manner of helping them reach their goals. Our aim is to unravel how each client’s unique culture, ethnicity, race, gender identity, sexual orientation, and spiritual/religious background affects their beliefs, behaviors, values, practices, and social interactions.

Dianne Patrick
Clerk
Dianne Patrick became a member of the PCC Board of Directors in October 2021. She has been involved in volunteer work in Worcester County since high school serving the Worcester, Grafton and Westborough communities.
Dianne was born and grew up in Main South Worcester. After receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Social and Rehabilitation Services from Assumption College (now University), she then pursued and received a Master’s Degree in Special Education from Assumption. Dianne worked as a Special Education Teacher for the Clinton and Grafton Public Schools. She taught at St. Bernadette School in Northborough from 2000-2005.
From 2005-2020, Dianne served as the Director of Religious Education for St. Luke the Evangelist Parish in Westborough, where she was introduced to the Pastoral Counseling Centers and their work in the community. Dianne’s work with others has focused on discovering compassionate ways to secure trust and provide peace of mind.
A Mother of four and Grandmother (“Nana”) of eight, Dianne now enjoys retirement with her husband Mark at their home in North Grafton. She is happy to support the work of PCC.
Jeff Bartee
Executive Committee, Member at Large
Jeff recently celebrated his 32nd year with a large multinational corporation and provides sales training to their rep force. Having relocated several times during his career, Jeff moved to Westborough in 2004. Since then, he has been active in his community as a volunteer for Old Sturbridge Village, Westborough Youth Soccer, St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, Siloam Masonic Lodge, and sits on the board for the Pastoral Counseling Center. In addition to volunteering, Jeff enjoys spending time visiting historic places with his wife and daughter and restoring their 18th-century home.
David Lambert, LMHC
Karen Rothman, MD
Dr. Rothman joined our Board this year. She has lived in Westborough since 1981. She recently retired after 38 years of medical practice, primarily in Westborough. She is married and has two adult children and one grandchild. Dr. Rothman has been active in many volunteer activities throughout her time in Westborough. She currently serves on the Executive Board of Congregation B’nai Shalom of Westborough, where her primary interest is in connecting individuals into a meaningful community. She is the founder and an active member of Shir Joy, a trans-denominational singing group that practices weekly in Westborough. She enjoys hiking, swimming, crafting, reading, cooking, learning and teaching.
Geoff Spofford, Esq.
Steve Swets
Steve is an advertising and marketing professional who has worked in all media for a variety of national, regional and local clients. In addition, he lectures at colleges and universities on the history of advertising and the creative process. Steve and his wife have 2 grown children. He and his wife live in Bradenton, Florida and have remained members of The Congregational Church of Westborough where Steve has served as a deacon, moderator and member of both the Cabinet and the investment committee. Steve attends Board meetings via Skype and in-person when he is in town.
Mary Taber
Ex Officio
Justice, trauma work and women’s spirituality have been the cornerstone of Mary’s work. A social work graduate of Skidmore College, she first worked for the Commonwealth of MA in adoptions and in the “battered baby unit” helping to write the state’s first legislation for reporting child abuse. In addition to her work at the Center as a spiritual director and Executive Director, Mary also is a social worker/human resource director for the Forbes Kirkside Foundation and has a private practice as a Spiritual Director. She currently serves on the board of the Wold, a women’s spirituality center, is in the Interfaith Clergy group in Westborough, and is a past board president of the Bridge of Central MA, a large human service organization, where she is now a corporator. Mary works with adolescents, adults and families and provides support groups on numerous topics. Her belief is that one’s faith and practices of meditation and breath work help frame a tool box that can be so helpful in dealing with life’s more difficult issues, particularly anxiety and post traumatic stress.
